no cable TV

We have a 2022 22FB Airstream Caravel, with a problem with accessing cable TV. No cable reception after trying at many different campgrounds. Any thoughts on what might be wrong? Do I need some type of box, in addition to the coax from the campground to my trailer input? thanks!

Check your manuals for operation ...

TV Wall Plate Power Supply

The wall plate/power supply provides 12 VDC to the antenna as well as antenna signals to two TV sets. Cable input from the outdoor receptacle connects to the wall plate and may be switched so either antenna or cable/satellite signals may be watched.

Operation

To receive cable signals from the outdoor receptacle: Press switch to OFF position. The light on the wall plate will go (OFF) showing that power is no longer connected to the antenna and that both TV sets are receiving signals from the outdoor receptacle.

To receive signals from antenna: Press switch to ON position. The light on the wall plate will come (ON) showing that power is connected to the antenna and both TV sets are receiving signals from the antenna.

First, as SeeMore said antenna booster most be off to receive cable in trailer.

Second, in many campgrounds you need a cable box to get any channels. Ask the host or another camper if it is needed. Note most people don't bother with a cable box for 1 or 2 nights so sometimes the host may not mention them and sometimes they run short of cable boxes so don't mention them unless they are asked.

Some trailers have two external coax connectors, one for cable and one for satellite. If you have the amplifier off and are on the right cable, try the other one. Reversed connections have been reported.

Cable

It has been my experience that providing good quality cable is not a probity for many campgrounds.
