We have to interrupt our full time adventure for a couple of months.
It has been suggested that a small solar trickle might be a good idea to keep our batteries fresh since we are utilising a local self storage outdoor lot.
Is this an OK idea? If so, which charger should we get? What amperage/wattage is best? Is there a preferred way to hook it up? What about the inside the AS battery switch?
As always, your help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

If it's only a month or two just disconnect the batteries. You should be fine as there won't be any drain on them. Easier than dealing with solar and leaving things running.

There are some paths that you do not disconnect with the battery switch - such as the CO/Propane detector. I also like to have interior lights available and to power our intrusion alarm system. Solar makes sense.
I can recommend the Morningstar SunSaver MPPT (4 stage) or the SunKeeper PWM (3 stage) solar charge controllers for this purpose. Warranty is 5 years. They have been highly reliable for me to keep "stored" or lightly used batteries charged.
