Lithium Battery Storage

I bought two Battleborn lithium GC2 batteries on Black Friday when they offered a good discount. I thought my new Airstream trailer would be delivered in early December but it now looks like it will be late January 2023. The batteries are in the original shipping boxes stored in a heated room. Is it OK to leave them in the box for a couple of months until they are installed in the Airstream? Or, do they need to be on a charger? Do they come from Battleborn fully charged?

They should arrive charged, and should last many months with zero maintenance.

To be on the safe side, I recommend you check the voltage now and maybe a month from now. Occasionally, like any other products, stuff happens. The good news with BB is that problems are rare and they are terrific about making things right.

Welcome Abord...

As noted above, make sure they are charged and wait for the AS...

We leave them in the AS all year. Winter...fully charged, isolated. 4 Seasons SFSG.

They could easily be left in those boxes for years without ill effects. But there is no need to take anyone's word here on this. Call BB and ask them how to store their batteries.

Thanks for the replies. I tried to call BB before posting this but they are closed until Tuesday next week. I only thought about this just this morning...

To add to other comments, Lithium batteries are least degraded when storage is optimal at 85% charge for room temperature.
