Hi Folks,

I'm getting ready to install my new Parallax 4400 converter and 6V Lifeline battery bank in my 1965 Overlander. Thanks to all the good advice here, I've been able to locate all the critial components of the system however, I wanted to double check before I begin, is this the "Low Voltage Distribution Panel" that is referred to in the installation literature?

Yup. Although I personally think calling it that is charitable at best.

What you have there are 3 cicruit brakers and fused feed lines. Check the rating on the circuit brakers and make sure the fuses are no more than 80% of the total of the circuit berakers. If the wire going into the brakers is #12 than the fuses should be no more than 20 amps. Can't tell from the pictures as to the wire size.

The red line should be the hot line and the white line is the ground.

Yes it is. While it may not look like much, it is all that is needed for the task at hand. My '67's LVP is arranged a little bit different but it does the same thing yours does.

Out of curiosity, now that you can cross that step off in the installation literature, what does the guide tell you to do next? i.e. cut a wire ... install adapter block ... ?
