I just purchased a used 2008 19 ft SE. I noticed the lens on the patio light is slightly warped or melted...from over heating I guess. Is this a common ocurrance or could there be a problem? Thanks
The lens gets warped because the heat generated by the bulb starts to melt the plastic. If you want to leave it on for extended periods, you can replace with a 90 degree 1156 white LED, or get a #1003 bulb. The 1003 is lower wattage, and will not generate as much heat (or light).

I had the same problem and replaced the lens ($7.95) and changed the original 1156 bulb to a 1141. The original 1156 bulb is rated at 2.1 amps & 32 candle power. The replacement 1141 bulb is rated at 1.44 amps & 21 candle power. The only problem is that the 1141 bulb only comes as a clear bulb, while the original 1156 bulb is also available in amber and be used as a "bug light". I havn't had a problem since changing it.
