I am renovating a '79 TradeWind and in the process of that am replacing the black tank. Old tank already out and new one in hand. My question is: Has anyone done this? Is it possible to attach the tank to the drainpipe without removing any body panels?
I would imagine that it would be difficult to do it without either removing a section of belly pan, or at least cutting an access hatch into it at the point where the tank attaches to the plumbing. I assume that is what you mean by "body panels."
Is it possible to attach the tank to the drainpipe without removing any body panels?
This has me confused.... Attaching should be the reverse of detaching which you seem to have already done. Can you provide more information, perhaps with photos? Good luck!
