Complete removal of black water tank

Our 1994 Excella 34 footer is permanently parked in the Western Carolina mountains. It is hooked to septic - it will never be moved again. Thinking of going directly to the septic line and permanently by-passing the black tank altogether.

I'm sure there are reasons NOT to do that, and we're beginning to master the whole deodorizer / cleaner / dump valve process. But trying to decide if it's just easier over the long haul to by-pass it and go direct. Would we necessarily need to remove the old tank, or is there a fairly easy way to by-pass it? If black tank needs to come out, is that a nightmare project ? Thanks

I do not know of a way to bypass the black tank. I think removing it would be a huge project. I have a parked trailer and still go through the dump cycles. I wish I knew a better way but have not come up with it yet. We have made it for 10 years dumping with no major issue so far.

Basically, you would need to replace the toilet with a home style unit with a tank, remove the black tank and plumb the drains ( I assume at least one sink will be operational)) to your septic/sewer system. You need the flow from a standard toilet to push any solids down through the plumbing.

Any plumber or competent DIY person could do it without much drama.

Hi @hhighlandsnc - did you make any headway on this? I want to do the same thing and am wondering about the cost.
