Fresh Water Sensor Failure
Just purchased a 2009 Flying Cloud. Been in it for 5 days full time and all systems working well. 2 days ago we had trouble with city water hook up in the campground and the tank went dry. Now, tank full and all water running well in trailer, though sensor reads empty. And if the pump is switched to on, it runs continuously. Previously, the pump would automatically turn on and off with faucet/shower use as it should. There is enough city water pressure that I don't need the pump, so I am not without water. Though, somethin ain't right. Your help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Did you separately fill your fresh tank? It sounds to me like your tank is empty (the pump keeps running). The tank does not fill via the city water connection.

Also, the pump should not be turned on when attached to city water since there is all ready sufficient pressure from the city.

Didn't proof read the quick reply, makes me sound like a bit of a moron... Is the fresh water tank fill just adjacent to the city water hook up??

Usually the fresh water fill is right near the fresh water tank. There will be a small door, usually about 5"x5" that is locked that the fresh water tank is filled.
Several years ago Airstream had a system that would let you fill the fresh water tank from the city water. A friend of ours has a "Square Stream" (about a 92 model) that will let him do it. They didn't keep it very long because we don't have it on our Excella.
Good luck.

Just to add to the other great advice - When the water tank has water in it and the pump is turn on, it can be used to raise the water presure of a less than useful campground water pressure, but this is usually not needed because campground water pressure is usually OK.

The fresh water fill port will have a locked door to access the port. On our Bambi, the black tank flush/rinse is near the city water hookup...be sure you use the correct inlet...if you connected city water to the flush/rinse inlet (presuming your unit has this feature) you will be filling your black tank with water and if you let it run without having the drain valve open you will eventually overflow your toilet! The two are NOT to be confused.
As mentioned above, the water pump os necessary to get water form the fresh water tank ...and you do not need to use that when yo are connected to city water...(unless you want to boost pressure)...if the water pump is on, it is bringing water from the fresh water tank into the system... The city water hookup does NOT feed into the fresh water tank...it must be filled via the fresh water port on the outside of the trailer (behind the locked port access door)...
