Zip Dee stores slightly left

Hello all,
I wonder who has seen this? My zip dee awning works fine except when it it time to roll it back up it appears to go about 1" left making it very difficult to to put the round screw downs in to hold it in place. After holding the awning center pull to the right and guiding it seems to help a little but still very hard to attach without pushing fairly hard to make it sit properly (or close to it).
Is there an adjustment that can be made? It seems attached firmly at the top and I dont know if you can shift the awning.
I have tried to attach 2 photos as my descriptions are the best I can muster after one week with the airstream.

You can slide the awning in the awning rail and see if that makes a difference. You should have a screw in the rail at each end to keep it from moving. Revove the screws, slide the awning and try it out. If it fixes the problem, put the screws back in. It will be easier to slide it with the awning rolled out.

Just push on the awning bar toward the side that needs to go farther. I've had it do this to me a number of times and it was a simple fix.

which way do u wind the center piece?

while rolling in the awning,

tug the 'leash' forward slightly and wind it toward the front...

this will usually pull the entire roll into better alignment.

and leave only a nub of the leash showing, which is a good thing...

1-2 inches of play can be created fore or aft with this technique...

My awning has shifted maybe 1/4 inch as well. Probably from road vibration going UP hill. Maybe I need to hit some road vibration going DOWN hill some day to make the readjustment.

Seriously. My hook lines up fine once the awning is rolled. My left and right spools to lock the awning down are off a bit, so when I tighten them they have a "gritty" feel, friction contact, when I get it snug. At least they will not back out on you! The solution appears to have already been given, and I might look into that if the awning keeps moving... Up to now, it has not given me a problem, and I do keep an eye on it.

after installing a brand new one on a friend's trailer, i found sliding the fabric in the channel slightly will solve the problem.

u were only enrolled in zipdee 101...

and the grades are still pending.

zipdee 703 is a 'graduate' course.

please send a sase and one benfranklin...

i'll mail yer' grades and the outline for next semester!

(i'm pretty sure ellen was the only one taking notes)
