Zip Dee Relax Front Arm Teardown

My Zip Dee Relax awning on my 2020 GT 27FBT is no longer extending. I’ve traced it down to a problem in the power wires in the front arm. There’s continuity in the rest of the power wiring from the control board to the arm harness, and the awning will extend and retract using the battery jumper, so it’s the leg in the front arm. To confirm I checked and there’s no continuity in this leg either. Has anyone disassembled these arms to make repairs? I’m out of warranty already and the only repair option Zip Dee offers is arm replacement. If I break it it will cost the same to fix…..

On day one when we were, shown the brand new 2018 International Serenity 30RB, the awning would not work. We were absolutely assured that if we bought it, it would be,fixed, before our pickup date. That didnt happen. It sat there waiting for us to come on the appointed, day to bring it home, and they had,not touched it! I was fuming so bad that I started, saying we need,to cancel the deal and get our trade in returned,to us. No matter what a,saleman says, there is no guarantee, that the rest of the crew, including the manager, really cares about what you are fretting about. The manager apologized and we calmed down, and were told they would send someone to deliver the trailer when all was, completed. It worked out, but now I am,glad,it is protected,in a garage. Awnings, are, nice, but can be a,nightmare.
