Who made our Awning?

Well, We have moved our AS outside, So excited almost ready to hit the road!

Harold decided to see if he could figure out what was wrong with the awning. Living next to the ocean and salt water is terrible on most stuff, and our awning is no different,Rusted pretty tight. Couldn't get anything to move, so he and our son took the forklift and managed to get it down without much problem.

After spraying rust blaster and wacking with a hammer he managed to get the little filpper thingy to move. There doens't seem to be any spring tension. I have spent the last 2 hours trying to identify the maker of this awning. No luck. Every on I have looked at have a straight pin coming out of the end of the roller ours is L shaped. The rest of the awnings that were on the AS were made by Carefree. But this awning has no tag on it anywhere.

What we need is an parts list of this so we can figure out what is rusted and replace the parts. See the pics.

Thanks
Annette

Looks like an Eaz-Awn. They became extinct in the mid 1970's...

Annette,

Not sure what brand yours is. I was informed that parts for my old Carefree were no longer available last year, so I rebulit it using new A&E torsion spring assemblies. It wasn't difficult, and only took about one hour to modify the new components to fit. The new torsion springs rachet, and lock open, or closed which I like.

You may be able to modify yours too if your inclined. I have some notes and photos around here somewhere.

Regards,

Kevin
