Pulley/block for awning?

I have read/heard that it might be useful to have a pulley/block on each end of the awning rail. For one-person placement of the awning into the awning rail, the installer could (1) attach a line to a grommet at the end of the awning that first goes into the mounting rail, (2) run the line through the pulley/block on the far end of the rail, (3) run the line back to the near end of the rail, and (3) feed the awning into the rail while pulling on the line.

Has anyone done this? If so, do you have any photos and recommendations as to the hardware?

You're talking about an old fashioned pole awning I assume.

I used this system for my Bambi II. Pain in the ass but it works until the material starts chafing.

Thanks, Michael. That link was very helpful, as I was thinking that the device to hold the pulley would require one or more holes through the sidewall of the trailer, and I now realize that the holes can be avoided by placing the shaft of the eye bolt into the channel of the awning rail. Brilliant!
