Have you got pictures to look at? Go to the awning MFG web site and price replacement part(s). I would not think not to hard to do your work yourself. The other idea, do you have insurance and what is your deductible? Look into a claim. Happy and safe travels.

Sounds like all you need is a new pole....not an entirely new awning??? $3200 seems ridiculous for that. I'd call the manufacturer!

Zip Dee will be glad to sell you just the parts you need. Then you can do your own installation if you feel competent to do the work yourself.

Although they have PDF-format parts lists for all their awning models available on the Internet (http://www.awningsbyzipdee.com/home.html) they do not take orders over the Internet. You'll have to order by phone.

I bent a pole on my awning trying to put the awning up. It was bent enough I couldn't put the awning away. But it was not severely bent. With some advice from around here, I un-bent it myself and it has been fine for four years.

I had a bent strut as well on our 30' International. I removed it using the Zipdee instruction manual and straightened it out using the vise on the work bench. Just gently work it straight, clean an lubricate it real good before reinstalling it.

Is it a manual or power awning? If manual I would think re-bending to close to straight would be good enough.

This happened to me while on a trip. I bent the awning arm when trying to retract the awning. I took the arm out, layed it across a flat table, I and another person person held it while I manually straightened it. By the way, the airstream salesmen gave me the wrong instructions on how to work the awning. Those instructions are what caused the bend arm! I watched a video on uTube, saw where the problem was, and that made all the difference. Works perfect now....
