The awning, where it is attached to the body on my 72 Safari, has seperated and pulled out some of the rivets. Does anyone now how to repair. There is also a small tear in the aluminum.

How much do you want to spend? You may have to install a new aluminum patch over the tear in the aluminum and then reattach the awning channel with new solid rivets. If you want to just get by and prevent leaks into the trailer, I have found that 3M aluminum duct tape holds up for at least eight years and seals any potential leaks, as long as the "patch" does not have to have any large stress or movement.
