A little confused

When looking for a replacement fabric for my "Carefree" awning, I thought I would take advantage of my 'Good Sam' discount and see what 'Camping World' had to offer.
$350 installed. $254 not installed. That was with the GS discount. But we don't stock it so $130 for shipping. Why $130 for shipping? "It has to come semi cause the tube is to long to ship otherwise". I just want the fabric not the roller. Can't they just fold it and put it into a box. "You would never get the crease out".
So I tried a couple local SOB stores. None of them stock replacement fabric. Shipping about $100.
So to the wonderful world of on-line shopping I went. "PPLmotorhomes.com" They had a universal for $187 plus $9.99 shipping. The same color and pattern and material as the Carefree from Camping World For that price I will try to iron out the folds and deal with it if it doesn't iron out.
Wait it gets better.
I was expecting UPS or FedEx. I got an email that it was being shipped by SPEE-DEE Delivery. Those white trucks the same size as UPS.
Well to my surprise the truck pulled up and out walks the driver with this 9 foot tube. With "Carefree" written all over it.

I can't wait to install it when I get my Argosy back from being painted silver to match my Truck. This blue awning and the Airstream Blue rub rail insert I bought will look great.
All I need now is to talk my better half into a blue strip on the truck with a tonneau cover to match the awning.

Just demonstrates CW, even with GS discount, is not usually the best deal out there. I'm looking forward to the pics of your repainted Argosy. I have my eye on a 24' sitting in a storage lot nearby...

Generally you are correct, Camping World tends to run a little higher on many items. There are a few exceptions, though. Several years ago I purchased an RV dish draining basket at Wal-Mart. It was the exact same one that was carried by Camping World. I figured that it must be cheaper at Wal-Mart, so I bought it there. The next time that I was in Camping World, I noticed that the dish drainer was actually $2 less expensive at Camping World. The same thing happened to me regarding the blue chemical pellets that I use to treat Lucy black tank. I had been buying them at Wal-Mart for $10. Th very same onesy are $9 at Camping World, and are occasionally on sale for $7.

I guess that this goes to show that shopping around almost always pays off.

Even if it is wrinkled or creased it won't be after it is rolled onto the tube and used for a little while.
I don't think the creases would bother me.
It would be like wearing a new shirt. Everybody can see the creases and know it's new.
