Scouring pad and 409

Have old AS. Sitting for long time. Leaf residue and dirt plus mildew. Did one small part with 409 and green kitchen scouring pad. Came very clean but have scratch marks. Will Nuvite and polish. Okay to keep cleaning it with 409 and scouring pad or better switch to sponge? Thanks

Try using sponge or wash cloth with 'Bon-Ami' cleanser. Cleans without scratching.

Try "Awesome" cleaner from the dollar store. It is really Awesome. No scouring pads, just a sponge and water to clean it up.

scouring pad & 409

"Awesome" from Dollar General or Family Dollar will do the trick! Also good for black streaks on white trailers, even when cut 50% with water. Stay away from scouring pads or steel wool on finish.

Soapy, hot water and a soft brush always worked for me.

The Kayo brothers, former owners of Avion, now their son and grandson, aways clean aluminum with Comet, scrub brush and water. Then if they are going to clear coat with Permacote they wash the trailer with lacquer thinner. No scratches and a beautiful final finish. I have had this done twice to two different trailers.
