Which Model has less issues?

I have question, not just about airstreams, but about vintage oversized trailers in general.

Last year I inherited some lakefront land on the interior on bc. I have no plans on giving it up, but I'm not at the stage in my life where I can afford both my condo and to build a cabin. A friend had suggested simply putting an over sized trailers up there, and I've always loved the look of old aluminum trailers.

I was looking for a Spartan Carousel, but I'm having little luck finding one. That aside, can somebody tell me which large scale, vintage aluminum trailers would be considered low maintenance for leaking? Is it ever a good idea to create a pillar foundation for something like that if you have no intention of moving it? I would like like something that involves as little worry as possible, as that I'm 99% sure other family will be clambering to use it when I'm not, so I can't simply keep it covered up.

Any RV or house trailer will leak. I would put a roof over it if you don't want it to leak and rot.

If you could afford the up front cost, a pole shed first and then a trailer would probably save a lot of time, money, and effort down the road. If I had to choose, I would probably rather have the shed.

That kind of defeats the purpose of having it out there, if I can't find a solution, I may consider a prefab structure with pillar footings.

You could get one of the molded fiberglass things like a Casita etc. At least they don't rot.

Boats and trailers, no such thing as low or no maintenance. They break just sitting still.
The big thing down in my neck of the woods is that people are buying FEMA cottages to put on land for temp and permanent use.
