Rock Chips

What do others do to reduce rock chips? I have put about 5K miles on a new to us AS over the last month. The stainless steal rock guards are already hammered pretty good ( Dings ) . Now there are a few scratches between the gas cover and rock guards on the main body ( not dents/dings). Replacing the guards eventually would be one easy option ( Likely costly ) on the guards. The body I am more worried about trying to manage. We do mostly BLM lands and a fair about of dirt / gravel roads.

Truck does not have mud flaps. That is an obvious quick reducer. Also, making sure we do not spin the tires and use lower gears / 4x4 when getting level etc.

On that note, how do people get clear coat scathes and these things repaired. Or just live with it and keep rolling?

Thanks

For stopping the rocks Google "Rock Tamers". It's a mud flap system that connects on the shank of your hitch and covers full width across the back of your truck.
