OK so I'm backing to get ready to go Elk hunting tomorrow and my GFI Breaker in my 1991 Excela Airstream will not hold when plugged into the house.
I replaced the GFI Breaker with a new one and it still doesn't hold.
I thought its gotta be a loose connection on one of the outlets so I started in the kitchen - to my surprise the outlets use a snap on system that pierces the wire and continues - not a traditional household plug in with screws to connect....
I stopped as I didn't want to screw up the entire system....
Is there an outside outlet? If so check it for moisture or spider webs.
Has the coach had similar problems in the past?
Do you have anything plugged in to outlets in the coach?
What type of converter do you have?
Are you plugged in to a GFI outlet at the house?
What type of power cord are you using to power the coach?
Someone here can correct me but i believe that 2 GFI breakers in the same circuit could be your problem.
Does the coach GFI protect all circuits in the coach?
Have you tried connecting your coach to a non GFI at the house?
Best guess - the RFI filter on the input to your converter has gone bad. That *assumes* that the converter is plugged into the GCFI breaker. Sometimes they are, sometimes they are not.
Quick fix approach is to grab a can of silicone spray lube. Spray it on each outlet. The last one you sprayed before the tripping stopped is the one with the problem. The gotcha here is that the silicone will attract dust after you use it the first time.
