TMPS Before or after balancing tires?

I'm going to have new tires installed on my new-to-me 25-ft Excella before heading home, as well as having the tires on the truck balanced.

Any thoughts on whether to have the TMPS sensors (TireMinder) in place when the tires are balanced?

I have TST not TireMinder and I had the tires balanced with the sensors on. Just got new tires in January and did the same.

I suppose it depends on the kind of sensor, but, for mine, the tire had to come off, as the sensor for the trailer tires is the same kind in my truck's tires: so you had to have it installed before mounting the tire, thus they're in there when they get balanced. (Plus, it sometimes doesn't take much weight, strategically placed: could a sensor actually affect the balance afterwards? Maybe?)

My suggestion is to have them as they'll be going down the road when they get balanced.

Centramatics

I had the same thought and after some research, decided to install Centramatics to dynamically respond to the change in tire/wheel balance with and without the TPMS, not to mention any running gear minor out of balance condition. So far, so good.

Richard5933, I did the same as MikeandCarol - had Discount Tire balance with the TST cap sensors when they installed the Dill metal valve stems. They’re pretty light but every ounce counts.

As pjshier suggested, Centramatics would be the ultimate solution if you have the budget.

Congratulations on the new to you Excella and have fun this camping season!
