Check your manual
Per Goodyear ST Marathon ratings for the ST215/75R14 tires used on your 16' Bambi, a pressure of 45 PSI would provide a load carrying capacity of a bit over 1790# per tire. Your 16' Bambi gross weight is 3500# so you would be covered, BUT just barely. I think if you will look carefully in your manual Airstream is actually recommending 50PSI for the 16' Bambi, as the ST215/75R14 tire has a MAX inflation pressure of 50 PSI per Goodyear. Airstream has been recommending running at max pressure in the Marathons as they run cooler and will last longer. On the 19' and some other models with higher per tire loadings, 15" wheels and D-rated tires, 65PSI is mandatory just to meet the loading.
BTW, I am pulling the info directly from current Airstream documentation.
