Identify which Dexter I have 2020 Globetrotter 23FB twin

Hello all.. going to order the lift kit for our 23FB globetrotter. Looking underneath, it looks like it should be fairly easy as we have nothing in the way of the bolts.. super easy access.

I just need to know which kit to order

Got under her today and took these pics. From the reading I have done, our #3500 capacity axels would be #10. But the tags on the axels do not specifically state this. Matter of fact.. beyond capacity, I am not sure which exact model these are based on the Dexter numbers.

Can anything identify which we have?

A long time ago, I sent AS a pic of that very tag. They were able to decode it. I've never seen a published decoder ring. Dexter can decode it as well. Save those pics. My label has become almost unreadable after 14 years.

Yep. Send it to Dexter. That’s what I did. I had already decoded it but I wanted confirmation. E-trailer got it wrong.

I just finished day one of lift kit installation. Front axle in three hours. Just a little blood. I had to disconnect the brake lines and remove the gas line. Fortunately, the lifts cleared the shrouds around the tanks...but just barely. Gas line rerouting will happen after I buy a flaring tool.

Might find a clue on page 46 of this Dexter manual. The length of the mounting flange dimension E on a #11 is 11" And see page 24 for same data on a #10 the dimension E is 10". And the tube size on a 10 is 2.62" vs 3.03" on a 11 from same page numbers.

Should be a #11 kit, but as stated you can measure the axle mounting bracket. If it’s 11” end to end then you need a #11 kit. If it is 10” end to end then you need a #10 kit.

I called Dexter direct. For future reference, they told me the serial numbers are also on stickers in the Dexter manual that came with your Airstream. They will tell you which kit you need by providing the serial number of the axels.

Sadly, after calling again and again and getting no one, and emailing and getting zero response.. I gave up trying to get any help from Dexter.

I ordered the #11 kit from etrailer after measuring mine, and finding the plate to be 11 inches. Wish me luck!

Will do... I plan on pulling the trailer into the driveway in the next few weeks and getting the lift done.

Luckily.. knock on wood.. the 23fb Globetrotter looks clean underneath with nothing in the way, so it should be fairly straight forward without need to drop any pans or reroute lines.

One suggestion not sure if you've seen or read this one. Based on ONE install I did a few years ago.

Take a small combination square and scribe a line straight up from the front of the axle flange to the frame. On all four flanges. This will become a witness mark for where the flange was and where to put it back after putting the lift on the flange. Use the square again to align the axle back. Purpose is to maintain alignment position of axle to frame. If you need just use a ratchet strap to pull axle into new position if it's being pesky.

The install I did was a 30' Classic and it is possible albeit challenging to get wrenches on the nuts on the inside. A 15/16" combo shorty was a real help.
