Axle terminology

Do airstream trailers have dual or tandem axles? Seems to be a lot of confusion here.

Heh, I count TWO axles on mine, ONE or THREE on others....

Semantics don’t matter. I f I had duals or tandems, I’d still be buying tires 4 at a time...

Technically, it’s ‘tandem’ because they are close together, I guess. Not worth overthinking [emoji3]

I've never seen an Airstream trailer with "DUALS"

On trucks, "dual" generally means that you have 4 wheels on the single rear axle. A "dually". On recreational trailers, "dual" is used interchangeably with ""double" or "twin".

Having a "triple" means that your tire shop licks his lips when he sees you coming.

"TRIDEM" comes after "TANDEM".
