Vornado Heater Tripping Breaker

Hi,

The past month my 1500W Vornado has periodically been tripping the breaker.

I guess it draws about 12.5 amps. I have a 2019 50amp FC.

It's the 15 amp GFI breaker that supplies the bath, galley fridge, outside and Blu-ray.

Perhaps the fridge is coming on and I can't really tell and this over loads it.

Last summer, believe it or not, it got to the 20°'s in NM for a few days and I ran it day and night.... It's not been warm here in Texas...50°'s....

I had the same heater in a 30 amp Sport a couple years ago and never had an issue....

Any clues to solve this?

Thanks!

Trav

If it’s tripping when it’s on the same circuit as the fridge you could try a different outlet.

Or get a heater that requires less wattage.

Fridge draws 400w.

Too much load in that circuit. Bet that 14ga wire is heating up nicely too.
