Tankless water heater

Anyone considered adding a second water heater? I am not a fan of the on demand water heater in the new 2021’s. It’s only beneficial if you are hooked up to city water and taking a long shower. Otherwise, you will rarely wash your hands or dishes with warm/hat water ever again. I’m wondering how difficult it would be to add a standard water heater and possibly a bypass the on demand heater when not taking a long shower. I suppose the other option would be to remove the on demand completely and replace with a standard.

I have never understood why there aren't more (or any) tank/tankless hybrids available. Having a small tank that's always ready for hand washing or a spoon or glass here and there and then the tankless part when you need gallons and gallons for a shower just seems like a no brainier. I have started using Bosch Point-of-Use mini water heaters for the sink and dishwasher, but they are 120v, so only good when plugged into shore (not boondocking). But if you have room, I think a 6 gallon tank (standard size) and tankless system in series is a good idea.

Truma has a small .9 L tank built in, it also has he ability to keep the tank warm and ready to run, especially when taking "navy" showers.

The hot water is available in almost any spigot valve angle. The girard in the 2021 is junk... Just like they have always been.
