Free Dometic AC
Anyone want the Dometic AC I pulled off the Trade Wind today? I think it is a 13,500 btu, the shroud is toast. It was working when I took her down but I think it will need some maintenance to keep her in the game.
FREE SHIPPING (cause you have to come and get it) AC is in middle Tennessee. I cant let this thing set around very long so if nobody claims her, its off to the dump.
If for any reason you are not satisfied, I will cheerfully refund your money.

Oddly, I would like to have it for a non-Airstream purpose. But if someone wants it for their American Classic, then I will defer.
Bell Buckle?

Tom,
Hwy 280 east (Gnat Hill rd) about 10 miles east of Beach Grove. Be more than happy to let you have her, be nice to finally meet you as well.

Beech Grove, eh? That's a little further from the Rocket City than my first guess about your winter home.
I need to get back with you.
Tom
p.s. I do like a good road trip, though.

I'm about 30 miles past Shelbyville at the moment (moment meaning winter). If you want it, I can throw it in the truck and meet you somewhere.

Too bad you're not in Tullahoma - I'd send my Dad out on recon since there's still light out.
I, on the other hand, have to fry pork chops in a bit, and can not leave. The masses get angry when not fed at 6:00.

I can set on it for a couple weeks without causing problems. I can prob drop it off in Tullahoma, I think thats only 20 miles or so. Enjoy the chops.

I'm confused
Rodney,
There's no reason for you to go out of your way. But I'm confused - Gnat Hill road is close to Manchester (where, BTW, I was born), but you indicated you were in "Beach Grove". Google doesn't know "Beach Grove", but it does know "Beech Grove", and that town is far away [from me].
Any insight?
An outside-Manchester destination is no big deal from here. The town of "Beech Grove" is a little different. What am I missing?
Thanks,
Tom

Oopsie
Sorry about that. I am near Manchester on 280 a few miles from the hwy 53 intersection. If you know where lakewood is, I am just a few miles from there.

One last notice to the community
Folks, I'm the lucky winner of Rodney's old air condtioner, and plan to pick it up tomorrow. But since my nefarious plans for it have nothing to do with an Airstream, in a sense of fairness to the community I thought I would defer one last time to an Airstreamer who might feel this unit could be returned to service on an Airstream.
Speak now...
But even if someone speaks, I still plan to visit with Rodney - I've never met him, and he posts like an interesting guy.
Merry Christmas to all,
Tom

I kilt it
Rodney,
Thanks so much for the air conditioner. It was nice of you offer it up to the Community as you did. While I enjoyed getting something I wanted to use for other projects, I particularly enjoyed meeting you, and spending time visiting. Look for a little karma on the post.
Unfortunately, having a Duo-Therm in my shop was not meant to be. You can read the complete tale here.
Regardless, thanks for giving it to me.
Tom
p.s. Keep me posted on the Woodbury highway - It's a mess! I never thought they would 4-lane it.

Tom, you aren't the first guy to give that AC unit the finger, I just wasn't as literal as you about. Sorry things didnt work out, but happy that I ditched the thing.
