Buying new Blower motor...advice needed

The Coleman replacement motor is way over two hundred dollars.

I found a Fasco replacement for $126.00 which is made in Mexico

ORV replacement measurements are Shaft .5 diameter X 3.5" X 7 1/8

3.5 is the short shaft and 7 1/8 is the long shaft.


The coleman measurement is shaft .5 X 3.5" x 7 3/8"

The difference between both is the long shaft of 7 1/8" vs 7 3/8"

Has anybody replaced a blower motor. Both look exactly the same. Brackets on motor are the same. You input is welcomed

Sometimes the replacement part isn't exactly the same as the original but still gets the job done. Especially in the world of electric motors.

I just threw the information sheet away. All the measurements were exactly the same except the shaft was 1/4" shorter then the original. The fan blade fit perfectly. I had an option to buy the manufacturer replacement or another one made in Mexico. The manufacturer replacement was way more expensive and was made in China. The one made in Mexico was the best price I found so I went with it. I will say one thing Coleman does not want you replacing them anymore. They made it easy on the old 70's air conditioners for replacement. The newer ones is labor intensive and challenging.

ok, nice that the shorter one worked out. i guess the coleman price helps steer people to just buying a whole new unit.
