It's the usual story. At storsge, i turned the refer on to auto. I had lit the stove to to fill the lines. Took a few clicks, but fired blue. 5 min later still lit and up tube getting warm. Loaded the freezer with 1 frozen soup and some ice. Ice in juice containers and a few pre chilled items in the refer. An hour down the road seemed colder so added more food...mid 40's. Rigs history is a fast cooler...2-3 hours out it well on the way and safe.

Got to cg and not cooling further. Brought out the cooler and hope the toss rate is low. Decided to over ride to prop. Up tube very hot, fan running even with upper door open. Ext temp high 80's but the rig has been fine in higher ranges.

Not a whole lot of goods inside to restrict flow. Thermistor at top right fin
position which usually pushes temps to low/mid 30's.

Ice and soup in freezer seem to be holding firm. Door clicked closed.

Thoughts?

Finally got to low 30's. Overrode to prop. Never had to wait so long for the
chill. Also ever had the unit closed up for a couple of weeks, then fired it up as i was leaving.

Think i'm going to figure out how to test the thermistor. not sure that is out of play.

I notice that sometimes the temps start rising on the fridge and I end up having to turn it off for a few seconds and restart it. Sometimes I switch from elec to propane or the reverse and it addresses the symptoms but I don’t know what the actual problem is....glad you got yours sorted....

we added a fan inside to recirculate the air

we also added a fan outside to blow the heat off the outside fins

both REALLY helped to keep the fridge cool

just use cheap quite slow speed muffin fan, easy to get and install

Waninae39,

How did you run power into the fridge box?

very small gauge wire through the door.it does NOT affect the door closing or air leakage
the fans are low power so the thin wires are fine
