You caught us, Jarrod. Just when we thought we had been able to slip through Mobile in stealth mode, we were spotted. We thought that Fred, Ethel, and Lucy would be able to make their way unnoticed, blending in with the downtown traffic, but no such luck. There are Airforums operatives lurking everywhere.

Well, we're at it again. Lucy is headed out on her first great western excursion.
We took off this morning and are on the road again. We got Lucy hooked-up, and were actually rolling before noon. We headed west through Ft. Walton Beach and on to Pensacola. We got on I-10 for the quick run over to Mobile. We made it through the tunnel and into downtown Mobile. We weaved our way through Mobile and headed northwest on US 98 up to Hattiesburg, Mississippi. We continued up to Jackson on US 49. The roads around Jackson are really rough and Lucy took quite a beating.
We arrived at our campground in Clinton, Mississippi (just west of Jackson) as it got dark. We got Fred and Ethel bedded down, and we settled into Lucy for the night. A bunch of stuff in Lucy got bounced out of place by the rough road, but we got everything re-situated in pretty quick order.
We covered about 350 miles today.
Tonight's pictures include:
Recreational boaters in Destin Harbor.
I-10 overpass in Pensacola decorated with US Navy Blue Angels.
A cute little Burro travel trailer being towed by a big Moho.
Downtown Mobile Skyline.
Entering the Mobile I-10 Tunnel.
The 1907 Mobile Railroad Passenger Terminal.
An Old filling station along US 98 west of Mobile.

Its been in the low 60s here in Telluride this past week and 45 at nite. City park is next to town or you can head higher to some other National forest campgrounds. We had great weather in the Tetons as well. Low humidity is dream weather. Have fun out west.

We're headed that way. It was 98 degrees when we went through Jackson, Mississippi today.

It was pure luck that I looked up and saw you coming down the ramp but you also managed to get a picture of my office building. It is the second one from left of picture (immediately right and about half the height of first building with arched top which is the Riverview hotel).
Have a great trip.

This morning I forgot to look over at the Clinton RV park to see if I could spot you. You and I are playing leap frog, I towed my Airstream passed you about 6:30 this morning, I figure you are passing me in Vicksburg any minute now.

Not likely as we are still in the campground in Clinton. SuEllyn decided to sleep in this morning. Lucy stayed hooked up last night, so we should be able to make a faster than usual get away.

We are in the Springridge RV Park, 499 Springridge Road, Clinton, Mississippi 39056, 601-924-0947. It is about five blocks south of I-20 at Exit 36.
We have stayed here about a dozen times over the past ten years. It is about a day's run from home. It is full hook-ups and very convenient for a one night stay. The sites are mostly pull throughs long enough to stay hooked up. The RV sites are in the middle of a mobile home park that is very nicely kept up. It hasn't changed in ten years. The rate is $29 including all taxes.
I'll take a picture of Fred and the Girls before we leave and post it tonight.

Lucy broke camp in Jackson this morning, and got on the road fairly early. We traveled west over to Vicksburg where we crossed the Mississippi River and into Louisiana. We followed US 65 north through Louisiana and into Arkansas. We continued up to Little Rock where we found Lucy a really nice campsite in Burns City Park.
It was still in the high 90's during our travel today. We hit a couple of rain storms along the way which helped with the heat a bit.
We covered about 260 miles today. We stayed away from the Interstates and traveled most of the way on US and State highways.
Tonight's pictures include:
Clinton TV Park
Crop duster in Mississippi
Mississippi River into Louisiana
Main Street, Tullulah, Louisiana
Transylvania, Louisiana
Back road into Lake Providence, Louisiana
Arkansas State line on US 65
Grain elevators in Magehee, Arkansas
Coming into downtown Little Rock
Burn Park Campground

Burns Park in North Little Rock is very nice. It is water/electric only. The sites are long enough for us to stay hooked-up. There is lots of trees and shade. The rate was $22 including tax.

Brian,
I am beginning to think that you should become my travel agent!
By the time you get to California, I'll have a list of perfectly selected parks and all the attractions that I need to see......
Much thanks, we're limited to a short trip to Sonoma in a couple of days. And of course the trip to the dealership for some warranty work.

Ricky just hasn't been used as a name for our rolling stock yet. Our other tow vehicle (Olivia) already a name.

We broke camp in Little Rock this morning and headed north. We stayed off the Interstate and followed US 65 through the rest of Arkansas and into Missouri. We stopped in Clinton, Arkansas to ship some Moose Tags. The Post Office was right next to the Clinton Super Wal-Mart, so we stopped for supplies and lunch.
We continued into Missouri and decided to stop early as weather was closing in on us. We have never visited Branson, Missouri and we thought that this would be a good opportunity to see it.
We got Lucy settled in at a really nice campground in time to get her set up before the rains came. We are at Bronson's Ozark Country Campground. It's really nice with five point hook-ups and a $20 Passport America rate. We covered about 175 miles today. We plan to spend a couple of days here.
Tonight's pictures include:
-One of the runaway truck ramps along US 65 in Arkansas. There are several severe downgrades. Fred's exhaust brake sure was nice to have.
- Ozark countryside.
- Entering Missouri.
- Lucy's campsite in Branson.

Next time you are in the Little Rock area, try Lake Maumelle Corp of Engineers campground. Just down the road from Burns Park where you stayed. It is a fabulous park with sites right on the Arkansas River. Our favorite. Safe journeys!
