Camping chairs
We are trying to chip away at some of the things we know we will need prior to our first camping trip planned for late October.
One of those items is camping chairs. I have no interest in breaking the bank on yeti chairs, has anyone use these and if so what are your thoughts?

Dang, never even knew of a Yeti chair. For my money and long term comfort it's a Strongback Elite. $100 shipped and if you are a bit patient they have 15% off sales several times a year.

Just looking at the picture it seems like a generic camping chair you can get much cheaper at an outdoor store. Head to REI and sit in a few camping chairs.
I ended up getting the old school ZipDee chairs as all other camping chairs seem to have a very laid back and slouchy feel to them. I prefer firm and upright, kinda like a church pew!
All those years at a Church of England School had some impact on my I guess!

A lot of airstreamers use Zip Dee Chairs at rallies, however they are not the most comfortable for lounging, but they work well in groups, they are "table height", fold pretty flat and are not too cumbersome.
We also have more "lounge type" chairs similar to your picture (not sure of brand - probably got at Costco) that we use for lounging outside the trailer we bring along on more relaxed camping trips. This type isn't as good for a group setting as they are very wide (& "slouchy" as mentioned above )...just depends on the type of chair desired & how/where they will be used.
I think new Airstreams usually come with Zip Dees in matching awning fabrics. If your's didn't or you want other Sunbrella fabrics you can order them from Airstream or the The Airstream Life Store.

Two years ago we decided the cheap camp folding chairs were not working for us and we splurged on two ALPS Mountaineering Rocking Chairs and it was one of our best decisions! These are nearly $100 and while they fold up nicely they do take a bit of space...BUT they are comfortable on all surfaces and solidity made.

Nope. Not that I have ever heard of and we certainly didn't get chairs with ours. Would be nice though...
We purchased two Zip Dee chairs and didn't like them. Not comfortable. Sold them on Craigslist. They were also bulky to carry. We even bought the lounge extensions.

X2 "try before you buy"
Sportsman's Warehouse has an extensive selection available to try, and the prices seem better than REI in our area. While I have used a bunch of REI technical stuff back when every ounce mattered in the airplane or backpack, I am finding really good - and even technical - gear at the local warehouse stores.
We boondock a lot and chose some relatively "upright" and high-back chairs that fold easily. Can't remember which box store. Amazon search terms "Timber Ridge High Back Ergonomic" finds some on sale for $60 each. Ours are similar but do not have padded arms. The high back is handy for watching the clouds come over the nearby mountains or for spotting satellites in the dark.

Over the years we've evolved from bag chairs to folding camp chairs to folding rocking chairs and now to folding zero gravity chairs.
All have their pros and cons, definitely find a brick and mortar store where you can check some out!

We've had a variety of camp chairs. This REI rocker is by far the most comfortable. Everyone wants to sit in it. https://www.rei.com/product/853186/g...-rocker-chair#

Our 1985 25' Sovereign [rear corner bed] had two in the special storage slots next to the fridge. Also handy for extra seating inside at the fold up/down dining tables [no permanent dinette -- a great floor plan].

I have 2 Strongback chairs that we enjoy. Have had them for a few years. The rivets that hold the moving assemblies together have started to fail. I replaced the failed rivets with stainless steel bolts with nylock nuts. Keep a couple spared on-hand in case of rivet failure. Still going strong.

It’s hard to tell from your image, but I think we have the same chairs. When opened, they lock the fabric in a tight position, so that you don’t sink in like you do with cheapie chairs. We really like them.

I will second the Strongback chairs. We own three. They are well built and very comfortable. In fact it is the only one my wife can sit in comfortably due to her back. I would recommend going to their web site.
I do not own the yeti chairs however I do have two of their coolers one is the regular one and the other is their pouch one. Both are very well made. The same can be said for their mugs. So IMO I don’t think you can go wrong if you decide to purchase them
