Spaces were a bit crowded for our tastes, then again, we don't like people (hahahahahaha) so the more alone we can be the better we like it. Nice area, convenient to what we wanted to do/see.

Campgrounds in Kentucky
I guess it all depend on the time of year and what you like to do. On the Western end of the Bluegrass Parkway is Elizabethtown Crossroads Camptround. We have used this facility several times with good results. The owners/managers are very cordial and helpful and many of the sites have full hookup. There are a lot of activities in the Etown area.
A litter further down the road is Holt's Campground in Bardstown, Ky. The staff basically collects you money and leaves but the location is great. Only one mile to downtown Bardstown with a lot of Bourbon related things to do.
At the Eastern end of the Bluegrass Parkway between Versailles and Midway, Ky is Good Ol Days Campground. Close to horse farms, 10 minutes to Keeneland racecourse and numerous other attractions.
Hope you have a great time traveling the Commonwealth!!
