The first day of Spring 2010 is Saturday, March 20th. In honor of this joyous occasion, I thought it might be fun to have a photo contest theme that celebrates the emergence of Spring and the promise of the exciting silver-themed adventures that lay ahead for all of us.
Announcing the March 2010 Photo Contest theme:
"Silver in Spring"
And it gets better...The March 2010 photo contest winner will walk away with a very special once-in-a-lifetime prize - Silver Trailer jewelry bling from Kristiana’s silvertrailer.com!
[Thank you, Kristiana!]
Okay all you Airstream aficionados, what show us your silver in spring! Do you have a [Flying] cloud with a silver lining? Maybe a snow drift melting off your Tradewind? How about tulips under your Caravel or a baby deer nibbling at your Bambi?
Show us whatcha got!
And, be sure your photo includes an Airstream (in whole or part) because afterall, this IS an Airstream trailer forum.
Judging will end at midnight PST on Wednesday, March 31st.
The fine print from the Forum Photo Contest Rules:
“You must own the rights to any photograph submitted for the photo contest. This advisory has been written into some monthly contest announcements but it should apply to every contest. Usually this will mean that you took the photo entered in the contest. At the time you enter a photo it's only fair to the other entrants to say if you didn't take the picture but that you own the rights.”
Congrats on your win Meredith! Love your idea of Spring and Airstreams, and really love the prize!
Super entries already rolling in. This will be fun to watch!
We usually consistently have daytime highs in the upper 50's-lower 60's and often have low 70's this time of year...but it is snowing as I type this (super unusual) so I CAN'T WAIT FOR SPRING TO FINALLY GET HERE!
Vicariously looking forward to all the spring time Airstreaming photos.

It's true, Spring isn't as early and sweet everywhere as it is other places. My best spring picture would have to show our emerging daffodil stems standing tall, burned brown as can be with our crazy midwest freezes! I could show our hens taking dusty snowbaths in front of our AS... Be still my heart, zephyrs will stir, crocus will gather like tiny Easter eggs, forsythia will wildly wave in the wind and the sun will warm even the iciest hidden frost castles on our place, the pond will open and race free on the breeze again...send in your pictures fast. Some of us mired in winter really do need them ~G

I took this photo on April 14, 2001, on our very first Airstream Caravan. We were traveling through the High Desert near Lancaster, California. The caravan was lead by Paul and Mary Drag of the San Bernardino Unit (now El Camino Real Unit). We have towed the Caravel (named Lucky) with the Street Rod (named Julius) over 80,000 miles.
Most college kids go to the beach for spring break............
there is a beach here its just covered in snow and the water is still frozen!
AND she never complains!

Don't know about anyone else, but I would really like to see a picture of the hens taking dusty snow baths, I'm sure that is entertaining! Maybe that could be next months theme. "Animals & Airstreams"
