Tomato sauce+ curtains :) Help!!

So there was a mishap with the sauce in the slow cooker and my front window curtains after maybe a few Glasses of wine...
so calling on the Hive mind here, what can I do to get the sauce off the curtains or do they need dry cleaning?

You don’t say what they are made out of...

If washable, a good dose of OxyClean with detergent.

My wife has washed ours in the washing machine several times in the 6 years we have had our trailer and they still look like new. Just wash on delicate.

I have washed older AS curtains that were a fiberglass material. Just put them in the bath tub and gently swished them and hung on the hooks to dry..
Still if the manual says dry clean then that's what I would do with these newer curtains

Dry cleaner wouldn’t treat due to plastic tabs. I sprayed with Shout; soaked in Oxy, Biz,& Tide for 24hrs. Rinsed in vinegar. Dried in sun. All stains came out. I’ve also used Cascade in food stains with good results.

Sorry about your mishap. I have washed my cotton fabric curtains a few times---cold water delicate...lay flat to dry ...no problems at all. Twice I have replaced the elastic tape on them because they were saggy. I don't like saggy. Last time someone told me to use twill tape on the top part of the curtain, and elastic on the bottom. That is working well.

I agree - have washed MANY things over the years that said Dry Clean Only - save your money - plus - Oxy Clean gets everything out of everything - no kidding - even got red wine out of my white linen placemats!!! Just wash on gentle and on cool water setting - or even hand wash - but don't put in dryer - just hang up or put on a rack to dry.

Thanks everyone!! I could make new curtains for what the cleaners wanted to clean them.... so I decided to risk it. Oxy clean pre-soak then hand washed in cold water... seems to have done the trick, I didn’t notice any shrinking/ discoloring.... thanks again!!
