You can buy all sorts of foam rubber, different grades, and thickness, delivered to you from Knox Foam. I've delt with them and they are good people. They will cut foam to your pattern, and will also fabricate covers if you want. Give their site a look here: Memory foam mattress, rv mattresses, memory foam pillows, memory foam, foam, bed wedge, bolster, pillow, bed wedge, leg wedge, rv mattress, cushion covers.

When we remodeled, we made our own cushions. The foam and upholstery material was purchased online at prices considerably lower than we could get locally (I'm sorry to say).

We got the seat cushions from Foam Factory (or Foam by Mail), and used 4" thick LuxHiQual. We like a firm seat, and use a memory foam topper for sleeping.
We purchased softer foam (A-Medium) for the wedge shaped back cushions from Knox Foam. They recently sent a message about a sale, it might still be active.

Both of our orders were shipped promptly and to our specifications.

Good luck with your project!

Wow, a 2005 and you need to already replace the foam.

I don't know if it's my material or what, but I did the monkey print spice trader that was something like a grand upgrade. Mine are still in great shape, but this is good info for the inevitable day I too will need to replace the foam.

Foam Factory plug

I just want to second BDandTTs recommendation for the Foam Factory. We recently did a dinette in firm 4" foam and a queen size bed in medium 5" from there. After looking locally and on line, the FF had the best prices. We are very pleased with their product and great service.
Good Luck!

We also used Knox foam on our 69, and were pleased with the product, how it has held up and cost/shipping was very reasonable.

I just tried to link to the Knox foam site and the site states it is unavailable. When I tried to call the number no answer. could it be the company has closed?

I tried again today and the phone number seems to be out of service. It's too bad, I hate to see businesses close up.

The Foam Factory

Try thefoamfactory.com; good prices and good foam, and they're there.

I live in Knoxville, Tn, actually just outside of it, and i'm trying to find KnoxFoam as well. I see that their site is inactive, but am wondering if they are out of business or have just changed names. There seem to be a few different stores here that pop up on Google Maps, and all of them have a Knoxfoam.com link on them. One is Foam Outlet or something like that, i'm gonna try to call them in the next day or two using the local yellow pages. I'll try to update this info and help you guys out.

BTW, has anyone used a Futon mattress on their Gaucho? I was considering this with some matching throw pillows instead of buying foam and having it upholstered. Thoughts, experience, ideas gladly accepted

thanks, eric

Sorry about the delay, I did find out about KNOXFOAM. They are OUT OF BUSINESS! I just had some time yesterday, so i went to the only place i could find, called Foam Rubber and Fabric Outlet in Knoxville at 1323 N Central St. 37917 This place is run by the brother of the guy that ran Knoxfoam and he told me they had gone out of business. This is a great place, with any foam cut while you wait, and lots of upholstery fabric as well, but i'm not sure if they do mail order (i'm local). Phone number if you'd like to call is 865-524-4251

I hope this helps everyone!

Foambymail.com is where I will be going. Free shipping and you can get free instant quotes for many shapes. They are local to me in Michigan, but they actually have better prices if I order online! AND FREE SHIP!
