I have a 95 Excella, 28 foot which I bought in March. We spent about four months with it in the Northwest this year. Loved the trailer and want to do some refrubishing this winter.
We want to replace the carpet which is soiled beyond cleaning. I would like to do this with a laminate type material. Can I just cut out the exposed portion of the carpet, leaving that under the beds, etc for insulation and lay down the laminate? I would cover the gap needed with a small quarter round or some other molding.
We are not too happy with the couch as it needs a lot of cushions to make it comfortable. We have seen various type chairs but really want to retain the ability to have a bed for a third person. WAny advice on this would be welcome.
If you want to remove the carpet without taking out the cabinets, cut the carpet as close to them as you can. We used peel and stick vinyl squares for ours, and we are satisfied with the results. A single piece would be better, and look better, but you have to do some precision measurements and cutting to make it fit.
