Here is a picture of the new "Ruby Red" Forbo linoleum tile I got for the Globe Trotter. I just put a few down for the picture..... If the link does not come up, I'll try it again as I never uploaded a picture before. Wild huh?
I'm sure you'll love the linoleum...we love ours! It's a great light-weight "green" product. Bold color...can't wait to see it all finished...looks great!
I looked at some "new" linoleum yesterday - a pattern that looks just like cork and it's about half the price, plus it comes in sheets whereas the cork is available in 12" squares.. I think the fact that I can run the linoleum into the bath and cove it up to maybe 18" in the shower area - no need for an pan - makes it an easy choice. I like the idea that the linoleum is made from quickly renewable plant oil is a consideration as well.

I don't think this is a good idea...linoleum is not intended for a "wet" use. It's fine for drips and splashes but is not intended to be submerged in water as it would in a shower.
Thanks, yes I saw that you had this and was hoping you would see the post. This tile is so cool in that the color is so deep and vibrant. Your comments re durability made me feel I made the right chioce. It was a little $, especially after I decided to install it under the areas that are not seen (originally was going to put cheap tile in those places) but decided- what the heck. When I saw how beautiful this stuff was, I was sold on it.
