Interior aluminum skin maintenance help

Let me start by saying hindsight is 2020. I put aluminum skins in my 76 tradewind a few years back. They are beautiful. But damn if I didn't research more into it first.

The problem is they are so ascetically pleasing to the eye that EVERY SINGLE person who comes in feels the need to touch the skins, which creates a maintenance nightmare as all of you who have gone down this route already know.

What I want to know is:

What is the best product those who have gone this route found to protect your skins?

I currently use a spray on polish and wipe it off about twice a year. It helps, but if you don't get to those fingerprints quick, good luck getting rid of them. I am ultimately looking for a product that coats the aluminum to a degree. Any suggestions? I have read outside of this forum that using a car wax polish is one way to go. Any thoughts from others in the same boat will help greatly.

Here is an older pic of the skins right after I finished:

I have experimented with products on the exterior to protect the shine, primarily due to the elements. The inside doesn’t have “elements” except for people. You may want to look at some of Aircraft Spruce’s products the protect the exterior of aircraft. One product you could try is RejeX. Check it out. Good luck
