Rear Bedroom Underway

The bedroom is also coming along nicely. Here is a mockup of the layout. Essentially this will be two opposing couches which "open" (using futon hinges) to meet in the middle. We've been through a number of designs with this and decided this gave us the most flexibility for our travels:
  1. Additional seating for the kids (and friends) when underway
  2. More floor space for changing clothes, dressing kids, anything with the dogs, etc.
  3. Adding the ability to close off the rear "lounge" from the rest of the coach...for more flexibility (parent listening to iTunes up front, kids watching two different movies in the back).
  4. "Lounge" area for the parents when the kids are in bed up front
  5. Additional sleeping position for one of the guys on mountain bike trips (no more planes trains and automobiles moments)
  6. Huge bed when pulled out since one or both of the girls (ages 5 and 6) usually end up with us before morning when camping.

Looking aft....two couch frames....the water tank will be "boxed" and cushoins to form a "U-Lounge"

New bulkhead increase the depth of the closet (closet got narrower) and
provides a mounting point for the couch frame. Each bulkehad will get a
7" LCD Video Display/DVD Palyer.

Again...more info and a video tour on my site.

Echoing the other comments, looks great! I'll be waiting for the rest. I keep talking myself out of remodeling my wet bath - I hate it but don't see a practical way of doing anything about it.
Continue posting your progress,
Dave

Here is a video tour of the new kitchen:

The back is much further long now. I'll post some updated pics and videos soon. The shower turned out great and I was able to add a new shower door.

Thanks Stephen,

I have added more photos to the members area at http://www.airforums.com/photos/brow...0&userid=17830. I am still having dificulties uploading photos to anything besides the members area or once to the monthly photo contest, but that is another thread. These pics show the "Entertainment Center" area of my Excella. This was what got me started with the counter tops. The original was the shape of the tambour door below, and didn't have enough room for my 37" Mitsubishi 1080p tv and my Mac G4. Makes a great monitor, 1920 by 1080! By spanning the curves, everything is off the floor.

Looks great! I'd almost think it was a new CCD, except the materials look better!
