How to repair bathroom cabinet veneer?
In an attempt to maintain the originality of the trailer, I want to keep the vinyl veneer in the bathroom. It covers the walls and the cabinets. Problem is, its de-laminating near the edges of the wooden frame of the doors. In some areas, the veneer has started to bend away from the wood frame. I have applied contact cement, but because of the distorted surface, it just goes back to the position it has been in for years. Has anyone tried to keep/repair this veneer in their unit? Will the "gentle" use of a heat gun remove the veneer and will I be able to get it back to the original shape and then re-glue it?
If not, what glue have you guys found that will keep the edges attached?
Thank you!
