Caravelle Floor Structure

I have been updating my notes on the Argosy trailer line and have a question for owners of 1980 Caravelles. Does your Caravelle have an aluminum composite floor or plywood subfloor?

This question arose from a discussion about the roots of the Caravelle series. Speculation was that the coaches were near direct descendants of the Argosy Minuets. The three sizes 20', 22', and 24' were comparable as was the width of 7'. The one obvious difference is that only the 20' Caravelle is a single axle while both the 20' (6.0 Metre) and 22' (6.7 Metre) Minuets were single axle. The floorplans were essentially identical to their earlier Argosy cousins with a few minor changes and modifications. The speculation was that if any of the Caravelles had aluminum composite floors, the 20' model would be the most likely candidate.

Input from current and former owners of Carvelles is greatly appreciated!

Kevin
