Question control panel gauge not working , get reading on probes

I have a central control panel which has some of the gauges which are not working. I have used a amp meter to check the leads coming from the thanks and get a reading off the probes when the switch is held on. I know that the circuit is made through the various probes, but the result in not showing up on the tank meter. Has anyone done work on these before and can lend some input on how to repair them? I do not have the series of lights on mine just the gauge.

Does your trailer still have the original AC to DC converter (called a 'Univolt', a heavy blue box, probably hums when in use)? Or has it been upgraded to a more modern one?

If upgraded, the person who did the work may not have known to transfer over the "shunt". If this is the case, your tank sensor systems will not work until you have solved the shunt issue.

If you are curious about the shunt, use the Search feature up top in the first dark blue horizontal line.

gauges

I replaced the univolt, and I am familiar with the shunt but it is related to the battery status which I am going to work around with meters off the batteries, the issue is with the gauges which track the level of the tanks. I have one that works great , one somewhat off , and the water tank gauge does not work at all, however with the sw on I get a reading off the probes so the circuit is good. Is the gauge wired directly to each level pushing the needle up or is it on a electronic chip?
