50A to 30A Adapter

Does anyone make a 50A to 30A adapter that will fit the connection on my 2014 27FB International 50A unit? I would like to use my 30 A cable when I need to connect to a 30A outlet rather than using the heavy 50A cable.

Try Furrion.
An adapter will not allow the use of L2 of your 50 amp service.... Your second air conditioning!

The typical 50 to 30 adapters will provide power to both legs of the 50 amp tailer service. The user's responsibility is to ration power demand to not exceed 3600 watts. We are able to run the front air conditioner or the the rear air conditioner but not both when plugged into a 30 amp service. Each air conditioner is on a different leg than the other to balance the power draw when on 50 amp service.

I guess I'm living on the edge. Today it is record hot in Michigan Upper peninsula I'm at a spot with 30 amp running both a/c units. One on each leg and no breakers tripped yet. I have the refrigerator on gas and nothing else on. It's working and cooling down nicely. Hope I don't regret doing this. I also have a surge guard and it has not tripped either

As long as the breakers don't trip and the compressors don't stall, you're fine!
Fwiw, my Penguin I units have a low voltage indicator and relay that inhibit the compressors from engaging.
I am in 100 degree heat on a 20 amp plug..... Nice and cool!

More than what you need, but I found a 30 A cable that has the 50 A female connector. Since we use both AC units rarely, this lighter cable has really come in handy.

Do you have the info on where to buy one of these? How do you make sure the female connector will fit the connection on the trailer?

Do they make a 50A to 15A adapter so you can plug into 110v to charge batteries?

If it says 50 amp female, it will fit.

It is a stock 50 A female connecter - it will fit. I found it either at Camping World or Amazon.

Oh, we completed a two month, 11,000 trip in early June and I think we pulled the 50A cable out once.

I also have one of these I use quite frequently when I only need or have available 30amp, much lighter weight than the 50amp cord.

Marinco Park Power 50-Amp Locking Adapter with 25' 30-Amp Cord - Marinco 124ARV-25 - Electrical Adapters - Camping World

And a 50 amp female to 30amp male, for hooking up my 50amp cord to a 30amp plug.
50 Amp 125/250V RV Female to 30 Amp RV Male Pigtail Adapter with Pull Handles - Furrion IP5431R-SB - Electrical Adapters - Camping World
Hope this helps. I like having lots of options for electric hook-ups
