Our new AS won't be here until December but I have some questions. At a 30a campsite, if I plug my 50a cord into my 50a surge protector and then into 50a to 30a adapter, does the surge protector still work properly? Thanks!
Good question. Others may be more knowledgable than I here, but I would think that it would. I would think it'd be looking for voltage spikes moreso than current spikes. Not sure though. Be interesting to see the responses.
I tested mine while testing our generator. 30a in to adapter to 50a surge protector to trailer. Surge protector worked fine and gave green light. Line voltage is on one leg only since it's 30a. One ac at a time worked fine as well.
