Proud new owners

Found a '76 Overlander at a flea market a few weeks ago. Who would have thunk? Quite good original shape. Gaucho has been reapolistered tastefully. Came with mannual and something I haven't seen before in pic, blue vinyl wheel covers that velcro into tabs on the side of the AS. Planned on alot of soap and water and "away we go" only to find a crack in the frame on the street side. Ordered new axles right away, welder coming on Tuesday, new tires next. Rather safe than sorry! Would like to find others from SE Arizona.
A little about us. Mid life awakening at age 52. Sold all our belonging and home in eastern PA and bought a diesel pick-up and a 27' 5th wheel. Nine months later, traded for a 35' 5th. After 2 years full-timing we decided it was time to settle down with a house, and job, as $'s we dwindeling. Settled in Sierra Vista AZ area. Missed camping so we bought a 19' prowler for weekend trips. Sold it 2 days after finding our AS. Couldn't be happier!

Great adventure!
I have dreams like you are living but with 3 teenagers and a wife in school some things have to wait.
I bought ours at first sight, but still love it 7 years later.
Great bunch here, you will learn a lot no matter how much you learn.

Can you post picture...

Welcome from someone only here a few months - if you have questions these people have answers. Wondered if you could post a picture of the frame crack or at least discribe where it is (I'll guess right where the hitch A-frame meets the body). Interested since reading some information recently on having TOO stiff a tow vehicle - its connection to the trailer and the impact on the frame - mayhaps what happened to your unit. Good luck with the repairs and enjoy....

Welcome to the family I to would like to hear more about the crack. A jealous about your full timing but our day will come. At least we get a month or so every year.
