Dick and Ethel Perkins, here in wet cold central N.Y.
We have 3 vintage Streams. 59 G.T,65 Ovl,and 72 Tradewind. Bought the 59 first. Set it on a seasonal site for the summer. Used it once, spent most of summer in hosp. Got it home, and sold it. As it was leaving the yard, said shouldn't have done that. Got on phone called my friend that bought it. Said I want it back, if you decide you want it no longer. Bought it back 2 years later. Took it to Chartlesville Pa, for the first WDCU rally. Our first also. Had a great time, and was hooked.
That's that.
Have a good one,
Dick Perkins
Glad you sold your '59 to a friend so that you could get it back eventually! We have a '60 18 footer that we're currently restoring - loving it. This is a great community, so welcome and hope to hear more about your other Airstreams too!
Great to see your first post here. I'm currently sitting here at the Aquia Pines Campground (I need to write up a review on it) in Stafford, Va, sitting here in the Caravel, with WIFI. Dick rode up with me to Colin's last weekend, saw the SOTR, and on th way back, I got to see all three of Dick's trailers. They will be over the hill (Literally) at the central NY Pageant of Bands Rally too! June 1-4, in North Norwich, NY. See ya down the road Dick!
