Hello everyone

My name is Shawn. My girlfriend Bri and I purchased a 1975 Argosy 28 about 4 months ago. It was in pretty decent shape and needed a cleaning more than anything. Since then, I have installed new floors, gutted and rebuilt the majority of the interior. Repaired/replaced water lines, repaired a ton of electrical issues, fixed leaks, even designed and built my own wood burning stove. Seems like once you decide to take the plunge into ripping anything out, you just keep finding more and more to change. We purchased it mostly because I had moved from Lexington, Ky to a place called Wiley's Last Resort on the very top of Pine Mountain in Whitesburg, Ky to help operate a hemp farm. Since then we have decided to start downsizing and leaving the Lexington house to permanently live in the Argosy. Having your home so mobile is such a freedom. Well, that's a little about our journey so far. These forums have helped me so much already when it has come to any questions that I have had. Looking forward to many more encounters.

Hi Shawn. I'd say hello from central Kentucky but you already lived in Lexington and decided to leave, so you know what it's like here.

Welcome to the forum and hope you enjoy Whitesburg. I've been through Cumberland Gap area a few times on my way to Tennessee. There is some nice scenery and interesting towns down in southeastern Kentucky.
