does it bother any other quiksilver owners?

the quiksilver was orginally a fifty limited production. And i guess they sold so fast they decided to change it to 100. one reason i bought it because it was supposed to be one of fifty- which seemed rare- not so much one of a hundred. How can they change the number of production after the fact?

Can you show anything in writing, like a sales brochure?

If so, I would ask for a partial refund.

yes when they first came out in july/august 2005 they were advertising limited to 50 customized quiksilver editions. I am sure the first people to shell out 44,oo0+ believed they were one of fifty.

I'm not an attorney (thank goodness) but....

That sounds a bit like fraud, or false advertising to me. I'd be bummed. If it's truly a big issue for you, maybe some legal advice would be in order. But then you'd have to be close enough to breath the same air as an attorney....

My teenage son is really into Quicksilver clothing and thinks the Quicksilver edition is the bomb. While checking out the factory store on line, we saw they were selling a Quicksilver tee shirt and purchased it for him. It has the Quicksilver logo and Airstream printed on it. When the shirt arrived, it was nothing more than a Hanes Beefy T with a silkscreen - not a Quicksilver product. That's my Quicksilver story.

So are there go to manufacturer another batch? I thought there was only one left on a dealers lot back in the fall, and that was sold a few months ago.

Hope they don't do the same for the 75th 19ft! Mind you there are 38 of these left on dealers lots last time I checked.

i asked someone at airstream customer service how many were made of q/s because i bought it because it was supposedly one of fifty. the answer i got was they sold so fast airstream went back to quiksilver to get authorization to make fifty more. they were not numbered like your edition nevertheless fifty should only have been made if that is what was advertised.
