Wink Commin on board!!

Just joined the forum! Wife and I are getting ready to retire and hopefully take to the road. Lookin to buy an airstream and live on board for a year or two. Travel around and see the good ol USA. Haven't decided on what length and type to buy so thats why I joined. Need to learn as much as possible and be able to ask more experienced folks some questions! Looking forward to hearing your opinions....

Welcome to a fellow North Carolinian and not too far from you either The search button is your friend! with around 24,000 threads and 269,000 posts there is a wealth of information to be found. Our closest Airstream dealer is Out-of-Doors Mart up on I-40 just to the west of Greensboro. If you go vintage they will soon become your best friends for parts. I own a 75 and an 80 so if you have specfic questions about those I can get answers for you.

Welcome to the Forams. This is the right place to become aluminized.

We have Lucy, a 25' front bedroom with the queen bed. We have found Lucy very livable for two people. When just returned home last night from a 36 day trip to New England. During the trip we camped in 8 different campgrounds and 2 truck stops. The 25' pulls well on the open road, handles well in tight spaces, and is large enough to be comfortable for two.

We will be home for 5 days; then its off with Lucy on another adventure. We will be gone for two weeks to a trade show in Connecticut and some visiting in North Carolina. We were comfortable enough on the last big trip that we are looking forward to taking off again. We are very glad that we can take Lucy on business trips.

Welcome to the forums!

Welcome to the forums!

Welcome to retirement! (The best!)

I suggest you review (get a cup of coffee and take your time...) the following thread. It will give you a number of things to think about when deciding on what Airstream will be best for you!

http://www.airforums.com/forum...eam-22920.html

Good luck and ask all the questions you have! We love giving our opinions almost as much as talking about our Airsteams!
