We have had quite the rain the last few days. It has rained some 5 inches so far. Just bought a 71 Overlander this summer and am remised to find more wet floor than I expected. Rear end separation is making bathroom floor wet. Leak in the front, either belt strip or bolt lock, has rotted around the door. So I think OK, I got this; however, yesterday I found the floor wet in the galley, harbor side in the cabinet area. This one has me concerned.
Well thanks for letting me vent, I will start to get to work on her as soon as I can.
"they all leak"- well almost all. My Trade Wind suffed the same issues as do most of the older trailers that have not had TLC and/or covered storage for 40 plus years.
The galley leak may be from the sink drain vent stack. If you check under each vent pipe I'll be you will find some water damage there too. There were 3 vents on the 68 Trade Wind.

IMHO leaks are the curse of RV's, and Airstreams more so because of all the joints creating all the possibilities for leaks.
Don't overlook the plumbing for the leak in the cabinet area, and it's very common for Airstreams to leak at the roof area, and the water run down between the inside and outside "skins", appearing on the outer edge of the floor.
Right on the money Steve. We had a 2005 Prowler we replaced the whole floor in. We fixed it ourselves; now my wife keeps reminding me we already did this and the one we sold was dry.
In about 6-10 years I hav no qualms about doing a full Monty, but for now I just wan to minimize the damage and keep her on the road.
I plan to removing flooing today to assess the situation and then to hit the exterior with the calking gun.
