Too funny! We found a "vintage" '70s flyer for Daytona Beach, FL and a campground receipt from Sterling, CO in ours when I removed the front couch... It was neat to find these things to show us a bit of perspective on the history of "Jenny". If only these walls could talk...wait, yours sent you a written message instead haha. How's the work coming?

The stripping is killing me. It's a thankless job and that vinyl stuff is not letting go like it should. I have spent more on stripper than on my PEX and Sharkbites! I think I would have been money ahead by just buying new aluminum interior panels. LOL

More and more stripping. Got the front subfloor out. I am currently removing the streetside walls and the insulation ( not planned). The odor in the trailer was coming from a streetside stowaway...a mouse. I'm sure that the trailer weighs a couple hundred pounds less now that I shopvac'ed his stash of nuts. I'm busy polishing the interior walls and stripping paint from all of the trim pieces. Citristrip followed up with a pressure washer makes short work of that dirty job for sure!

Day 15
Been super busy with little time to post. I'm wearing my wasaga hat this week...I'm polishing the interior walls like a madman! I replaced the fridge with a newer Norcold 3 way with the electronic eyebrow controls. Plugged her in and everything checked out aok! The bonus? I found that fridge on CL for $100 bucks, and by the time I got around to acting on it the ad was gone. I assumed someone bought it after the 10 days it was on there. Nope! The ad reappeared only this time it read: first caller gets it for FREE! I called, was #1, and went to pick it up. SCORE! I'm heading to SoCal tomorrow to pick up some twin beds and bits that I need so no polishing tomorrow. I painted the interior roof panels with Kilz coat number two yesterday. After the final polish and Kilz completion, I'm moving on to removing the rear subfloor and installing the new material front and rear.

Wow thats a lot of work! I am glad I have that all behind me. I am going to reinstall the sub floor, C channel, and floor insulation when I get back from vacation. Not sure if I am going to strip the interior walls or replace them with new metal.

Removed the water heater valve today. Some more polishing too. Picked up some Argosy parts this weekend, to convert mine to center twins. I arrived at the mountain retreat of the seller and guess what? He was a celebrity! One of my favs too. Anyhoo, after spending nearly two hours working side by side dismantling the parts with the celeb...we headed out to Sedona and the Grand Canyon. Much fun, but Im back to the resto today.

Well, the interior polish is now complete. I am rebuilding the plumbing and replacing the dump valves today...or should I say pulling my hair out. I have rebuilt the dump collection assembly three times and four trips to Home Depot. I thought I had it licked, untill I inadvertently glued my last connection (which I was supposed to leave loose untill AFTER I put the floor back in the bathroom and positioned the black tank! Doh!!!! Now I've gotta redo it all over again! Crap. My floor fits good, but is too spongy, so I'm gonna remove again and add a crossmember. Frustrated, but determined to keep moving forward.

New photos!!! I finally completed the new waste system including new valterras. I added two industrial slip joints just in case I ever have to remove the tanks etc.
I completed the interior polishing, reinsulation and reinstall of all lower interior panels. Painted and riveted an aluminum l bracket across the top edge of the outer wheel wells since mine were deteriorating. I wrapped up the rear floor install and painted the entire interior with Kilz.
Completed the installation of new screens and painted all channels and trim dark charcoal.
I sprayed the interior panels and end caps with a nice tan latex last night and followed up with installation of the flooring pad.
I began installing the flooring today!!! Yay! I went with engineered hardwood Koa wood... A little red for my taste, but I got a deep discount on top of a discount at Home Depo since it was moving out of stock.
New furnace is on it's way, as is the new water heater valve. I'm searching for a new toilet in china and a used water inlet, KT lock assembly and some exterior panels. Whew! I don't want to think about that list too much or i'll hyperventilate!

Thank you. I used a variable speed buffer, rubbing compound and blue coral aluminum polish and many, many hours!

I'm bummed!!!! I began hauling all of my old fixtures back into the Argosy today to test fit everything and get the bulkhead walls positioned properly...Guess what?...my old nostalgic stuff looks just like old stuff! Now I have a delimma (sp?),...do I continue down the path of preserving history, or do I build new stuff? I am in the process of refinishing the bathroom fixtures and will keep the plastic formed tub wall, tub and cabinet doors (albiet reskinned). But, I hate the twin beds. They seem too wide and just plain junky. Seems a shame to cover up all of that new engineered hardwood too. What to do?
I should also mention that I am already WAY PAST my original budget. It's sink or swim time I guess.

If it were me I would rebuild it the way you like it and not worry about how it was.

New pics. I finally completed a new black tank surround for the Argosy. This will now support a new china toilet and I can dispose of the old Thetford Galaxy/Starlight. It weighs a bit more but I think it's worth it given the luxury of a new fit for royalty cammode. The top is removable should I need to service the tank and/or closet flange, and it is covered in the same wood I just installed on the floor.
